Trust The Man Walking The Path

For a long time, I thought the answer was out there somewhere.

Another strategy.

Another opportunity.Another breakthrough.

Another conversation.

Another sign.

If I could just figure out the right move, then maybe the chaos in my mind would finally settle.

Lately, life has been heavy.

Business.

Finances.

Responsibility.

Providing for my family.

Trying to build something meaningful while wondering if I’m doing enough.

I’ve been trying to stay grounded. Sleeping more. Spending time on the land. Praying. Meditating. Training. Doing the work. From the outside, it probably looks like I’m moving forward.

But inside, I couldn’t seem to hear my own voice through all the noise.

Today I sat down with my friend Hannah for a mapping session.

We started where I thought we would. Financial security, independence, the fear of something happening to the people I love, the constant pressure to figure everything out.

But somewhere along the way, the conversation shifted.

And so did I.

When it was over, I realized something that honestly caught me off guard.

My answer isn’t another business plan.

It’s not another goal.

It’s not another strategy.

My answer is to trust myself.

That sounds so simple.

But for me, it isn’t.

I’ve trusted my work.

I’ve trusted mentors.I’ve trusted plans.

I’ve trusted timing.

I’ve surrendered to the gods more than once.

But somewhere along the way, I stopped trusting the man walking the path.

I questioned every decision.

I second-guessed every instinct.

Looked for certainty before taking action.

Acted like I needed permission to believe in myself.

The truth is, I’ve spent years surviving.

Surviving teaches you to stay alert.

To prepare for what could go wrong.

To keep looking over your shoulder.

But survival and living aren’t the same thing.

Maybe trusting myself doesn’t mean believing I’ll never fail.

Maybe it means believing that no matter what happens, I’ll figure it out.

I’ve done it before.

More than once.

What’s also wild is that the other night, before this session, I went out on the land. I prayed. I offered my blood to the earth. Then I pulled a rune.

Dagaz.

Again.

The same rune that appeared during our move.

The same rune that has continued showing up throughout this season of my life.

Whether you see that as divine, symbolic, or simply meaningful to me, I can’t ignore what it keeps reminding me of.

Dawn doesn’t create a new world.

It reveals the one that was there all along.

Maybe that’s what’s happening.

Maybe nothing changed today except the way I’m looking at myself.

I don’t have all the answers.

I still have problems to solve.

I still have responsibilities to carry.

Tomorrow won’t magically become easy.

But I think I know the next step.

Keep my word to myself.

Trust the man I’ve become.

Walk forward without needing guarantees.

I’ve survived enough chapters to know this.

The next one won’t be built by finding a better version of myself.

It’ll be built by finally trusting the man that’s already here.
