Life Through Her Eye's

Life Through Her Eyes

-

There’s magic in watching her. The way her little feet carry her through the world like she owns it—curious, bold, innocent.

-

She gets lost in the moment because that moment is her whole world. And in those moments, I get lost too—in the purity of her joy, in the reminder of how brand-new life truly is.

-

I’ve lived a good life. A hard one too. Been through hell & back. But more importantly—I’ve experienced beauty. I’ve felt deep love, true connection, redemption & joy words can’t touch. Now I get to relive it all again—through her eyes.

-

She reminds me how vivid everything is when it’s new. Every taste, color, emotion—it’s all fresh. That’s the gift of parenthood—you don’t just raise them. They raise something in you.

-

She watches everything. My actions. How I speak to her mother. How I show love. How I respond to life.

-

She’s learning to feel safe, be strong, express emotion, & carry herself—by watching me. That’s why I’m careful. Not perfect—just careful.

-

I want to protect her from everything. But I know I can’t—and I shouldn’t. If I shield her from pain, she won’t be ready to face the world when I’m gone.

-

So I’m learning the difference between protection & preparation, hovering & holding space, controlling & guiding.

-

People say, “Just wait till they’re older,” like it’s a warning. But every phase is its own adventure. Every tantrum, question, shift—it’s just another layer of who she’s becoming.

-

I’ll still be watching her eyes like I am now. Trying to understand. Trying to support her the best I can. The goal isn’t to mold her into who I think she should be—it’s to help her become who she’s meant to be.

-

She’s not mine to own. She’s mine to walk beside.

And in the meantime, I’ll do all I can to show her how to love deeply, live boldly & grow fearlessly—because she’s showing me the same.

-

That’s what life through her eyes is:

A chance to see the world as it is—unfiltered, untainted, & full of magic. To slow down. Pay attention.

And love unconditionally.

-

I wouldn’t trade this view for anything.
